Why We Created Mitchell Hollow House
We love to travel, and some of our favorite trips have been the ones where the place we stayed felt just as memorable as the destination itself.
We’re drawn to unique homes with character, thoughtful details, and a sense of place — the kind of stay that makes you want to settle in, slow down, and enjoy where you are. When we found this 1800s house in Windham, we saw the chance to create that kind of experience here in the Catskills.
Mitchell Hollow House has been completely reimagined with vintage character, modern comfort, and the way we like to travel in mind. Our goal was never just to create a beautiful house. We wanted to create a place for friends and families to be together, enjoy Windham, and have the house itself become part of the trip.
A place to come back to after skiing or hiking. A place to gather before a wedding. A place to walk to dinner, linger over coffee, share a bottle of wine, sit by the fire, and enjoy time together without rushing anywhere.
That is the feeling we hope to create at Mitchell Hollow House — a stay that feels thoughtful, personal, and distinctly Windham.
